Primitive Culture - Reggae, funk, blues, Latin covers and originals. 2007 & 2010 MAMAs award winners for Band of the Year, Record of the Year (Fantasy) and Individual Performers of the Year.
Hot Money Band - Mix of classic rock, blues, alternative and pop covers showcasing legendary female singers.
Max Dvorak - A singer/songwriter from Madison Wisconsin. Max performs original acoustic music, that is deeply influenced by artists like Dave Matthews, Tom Petty, Tyler Hilton, Bruce Cockburn, Into it Over It, Koji, & many more.
The Sills - The Sills are a new band performing original Americana – Urban Hillbilly string music. Writer-singer-guitarist Blair Clark, Cellist/Bassist/Acordianist Jennifer Vaughn, with Banjo by Christopher Moore, Percussionist Dave Ross, vocalist Claire Kia and guitarist James McKiernan have put together a quirky, home-made midcountry sound.
The Reptile Palace Orchestra - a fascinating experiment in resurrecting East European folk musics. Their combination of ethnic, classical and jazz instrumentation into energetic and dynamic arrangements is a plain invitation to dance. Residents fans will like the weird influx of electronics into some numbers and world-folk music fans will like the fresh, but preserving treatment of traditional melodies.
Halley’s Hoop - An all original rock galacticgrass fusion band from Madison. There goalis to bring people together through music and have a good time. They play high energy music with positive lyrics.
Dumate - Dumate has been part of the Madison hip hop scene for last five years, sharing local stages with such hip-hop heavyweights as Rhymefest, The Game, The Mighty Underdogs and DJ Kool Herc. With an innovative live set merging traditional hip hop production techniques with a live rhythm section and two of the city's best MCs, dumate has worked to elevate both the Madison hip hop community as well as raising the bar for live hip hop bands
The Owls - A newly formed five piece Madison band that blends Chicago Blues with New Orleans rhythms. They draw on broad blues influences from Junior Walker to John Mayall infused with NOLA rhythms from the Meters to the Radiators with adaptations of Naomi Shelton, John Scofield and and some lesser known Hendrix stuff in the mix. The Owls are working to put a distinct late-night northern bayou sound to that classic material. Besides having a real distinct call, the owls are all really wise AND they can see in the dark (and, of course, they can fly).
A Minute Jack Forum - "It's pretty safe to say that A Minute Jack Forum is unlike anything else in Madison. How they achieve this with standard rock outfit instrumentation, without keyboards, is admirable. AMJF is one of those ensembles that blend retro rock influences with forward-looking aesthetics. But where other experimentalist band like Orphan Bloom are more aggressive and in your face, AMJF is subtle, using texture and a variety of acoustic and electric guitar sounds to create a compelling sonic palette." Rick Tvedt, Local Sounds Magazine – November 19, 2010
Huffin' Glue - a four piece rural country/rock band from Madison. With smokin' songs like 30 pack and Down on Her, (mazo beach song) plan to shake and bop. They also crank out some flaming hot classic country and rock tunes fueled by "The Blow Torch" on his Telecaster. Don't Miss "The Glue!"
Bluetrain - We'll play the blues for you! Four musicians, that have played in various bands in Southern Wisconsin have joined forces to create a fused rockin’ blues and boogie sound."
Optometri - Optometri is the best band of Russian has-beens ever to vanish from sight at the height of their popularity only to re-emerge unexpectedly more than a decade later in South-Central Wisconsin in a new millennium whose sensibilities they do not fully grasp. Frontman Yuri Mishkin and his merry band of ersatz surgeons will rock you from east to west and back again with their unique brand of pre-post-Soviet musical and lyrical wizardry.
