I lay down and I slept,
I awoke again, for the LORD sustained me.
Psalm 3:5

THE NEXT RIGHT THING WHEN EVERYTHING HAS GONE WRONG:
At our core, we must be rooted in scripture—without it there is nothing to stop the spiral of our thoughts when we need to sleep, there is nothing to hold us accountable for what we put in our body, and there is no standard for the words and thoughts we have as we walk.
Just take one verse or a phrase from scripture and cling to it. Psalm 139 is a great place to start if you are looking for ideas. For a long time, the only words I clung to were "even in the depths, you are there".
